Homemade Salsa

Well we have been so busy doing all sorts of things but one of those is making salsa! I don't know how many of you like to can, Personally I love seeing rows of freshly canned food lining the counter top.
It reminds me of Proverbs31:10,15.
"Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. She riseth also while it is yet night , and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens."

                                                              Patty's Salsa

40 cups tomatoes                                                      2/3 cup vinegar
3 T minced garlic                                                      1 cup jalapeno (or other hot peppers)
4 tsp. salt                                                                   6 cups green bells
2/3 cup cornstarch                                                         5 cup onions
1/2 cup sugar
Cook for 45 minutes. Ladle into jars and can. This winter pull out a bag of corn chips and a jar of YOUR homemade salsa and ENJOY!!

These are a few pictures I took this past winter.

  1. Hi Leah! What a coincidence! We are making salsa today! Maybe I can ask mom if we can use your recipe!
